Scarborough Shooting Victim

The car belonging to 28-year-old homicide victim Abdulaziz Farah was found in a plaza parking lot in the Kingston Road and Port Union Road area over the weekend.
Photos taken at the plaza Sunday showed a police flatbed truck taking the vehicle away from a parking lot surrounded by yellow caution tape.
At a press conference Sunday evening, Toronto police said they now believe Farah drove himself to the location on Fawcett Trail where he was found dead around 1 a.m. Saturday. They also said they believe Farah’s assailant was in the car with him. When a fight broke out between the two, the assailant mortally wounded Farah before taking off in Farah’s black Acura, police said.
Farah, who was known to police, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Toronto police are now appealing to anyone who knows who he was with Friday evening to come forward. They said they are also interested in speaking with anyone who may have spotted the black, four-door Acura with license plate BMEP-115 between Friday evening and Saturday morning.
Police described Farah as black, about 5’11 and weighing 170 pounds. He was of Somali decent and was wearing a red checkered shirt, blue jeans and running shoes at the time of his death.
Anyone with information is asked to call police at 416 808 7385 or call 42 Division directly at 416 808 4200. Police also urged the perpetrator to contact a lawyer and turn himself in.
